Hours Spent with Families
Imagine this…
You feel confident that your baby is getting full feeds—without pain, stress, or endless guesswork. Bedtime isn’t a battle; your baby settles and sleeps longer stretches, and you finally get the rest you need too.
Your days feel more predictable, with a rhythm that gives you space to breathe, eat, and enjoy your family. And as new milestones arrive—solids, travel, weaning—you already have a clear plan and an expert in your corner.

Who are Baby Settler consults for?
Any parent who wants real, personalized help with feeding or sleep—whether you’re still pregnant, just home from the hospital, or navigating nighttime feeds months in. Our team of nurses and IBCLCs helps families from the newborn stage through weaning.
What can I expect during a consult?
Every consult starts with listening. We’ll assess your baby’s feeding and sleep patterns, troubleshoot challenges, and create a plan that fits your family. You’ll leave with clear next steps—no generic advice or one-size-fits-all plans.
Are consults covered by insurance?
Many are! We’re partner with Wildflower and The Lactation Network, and most plans cover lactation and feeding consults at no out-of-pocket cost. If your plan doesn’t cover it, we’ll walk you through self-pay options before your visit.
Do you offer virtual consults?
Yes! Our team provides secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual consults for families nationwide. Whether you’re in Charleston or across the country, you’ll get the same high-quality care from our expert nurses and IBCLCs.
How is a consult different from the Baby Settler course?
The course teaches the method. The consult personalizes it to your baby. We’ll help you apply what you’ve learned, adjust feeding volumes, work through challenges like bottle refusal or low supply, and fine-tune your daily routine.
Can I book before my baby arrives?
Absolutely. In fact, we recommend it! A prenatal consult helps you prepare for feeding, understand what to expect in the first 48 hours, and set up a smooth start for both you and your baby.
Where are your in-person consults located?
We see families in our Charleston, South Carolina office and offer in-home visits in select nearby areas. You can book directly through our site and check coverage before scheduling.
What if my baby is struggling with sleep, not just feeding?
That’s our specialty. Because feeding and sleep are deeply connected, our consults cover both. We’ll help you figure out whether nighttime wake-ups are related to hunger, habit, or something else—and build a plan that supports better sleep for everyone.
When should you book? As early as you can.
Third Trimester
Establish care before baby arrives so we can get to know your goals, answer your feeding questions, and create a postpartum plan tailored to your needs. You’ll get priority access after delivery—when support matters most.
The First 6 Weeks
Build a strong feeding foundation, prevent common challenges, and ease the transition into new motherhood with confidence and a plan you trust.
Months 2–4
Focus on optimizing sleep, dropping night feeds, and establishing a predictable routine that supports both your baby’s growth and your family’s rhythm.
Months 5–12
Tackle solids, adjust schedules, prepare for travel, and support weaning—with expert guidance through every milestone and transition.
